En el último mes de Junio tocaba el turno de hacer el Midterm training del Servicio de Voluntariado Europeo nada más y nada menos que en Split. Unas diez horas de viaje en autobús desde Opatija pero que bien merecieron la pena. Un meeting con otros diez voluntarios de varios países que están realizando su servicio en Croacia. Algunos de ellos ya nos conocíamos del on arrival el primer mes de Febrero y el resto hicimos grandes amistades tras este encuentro.

In the last month of June it was the turn of doing the Midterm training of the European Volunteer Service, nothing more and nothing less than in the city of Split. A ten hour bus ride from Opatija but well worth it. A meeting with ten other volunteers from several countries who are doing their service in Croatia. Some of them already we met us on arrival training in the first month of February and the rest we made great friends after this meeting. 

                                                

Compartimos toda la semana aprendiendo unos de los otros de nuestra experiencia durante los primeros seis meses de nuestro servicio y los problemas que nos han salido por el camino.

We shared all the week learning from each other of our experience during the first six months of our service and the problems that have come in our way.

 Los compañeros de otras organizaciones nos contaron su experiencia, motivantes para continuar el resto de nuestro voluntariado  con las baterías llenas de energía, con energías frescas y con aún más ganas y apoyo de mis amigos. Con ganas de hacer cosas nuevas en el ámbito local de nuestra localidad y ¡también global!

The mates from other organizations told us about their experience, motivating us to continue the rest of our volunteer work with full energy batteries, with fresh energy and with even more desire and support from my friends. Wanting to do new things in the local area of ​​our locality and also global!

Las dinámicas de grupo y otras muchas actividades que improvisamos todos juntos los voluntarios en la ciudad hicieron de este meeting una enorme experiencia para recordar para siempre. Un gran feeling durante todo el evento y ya durante el mismo evento estábamos planeando otro encuentro para volver a vernos pronto en Agosto. (Así es que el fin de semana tras el evento ya estábamos de nuevo juntos y visitando Trogir). ;)

The group dynamics and many other activities that we all improvised together the volunteers in the city made of this meeting an enormous experience to remember forever. A great feeling throughout the event and already during the same event we were planning another meeting to meet again in August. (So ​​the weekend after the event we were back together and visiting Trogir). ;)

TIPS&TRICKS

Ten a mano siempre tu carnet de estudiante ISIC o de tu Universidad. También tendrás por el servicio EVS el carnet European Youth Card, nunca sabes donde puedes aprovechar un descuento. :D

Always have your ISIC student card or your University card at hand. You will also have the European Youth Card for the EVS service, you never know where you can take a discount. : D
